Prayer in sickness
Tired
Alone
Unseen
Empty
Unheard
I sit in the pews, mass has concluded,
no place to go therefore why move,
empty quiet is HIS house,
am I no longer worthly of HIS time?
Everyone is still seated
Untill “they” come back inside,
Jesus made me did HE not?
private time with HIM I seek,
I guess I’m just too weak, my thoughts worries are falling on deaf ears…
I hear GOD loves me, sees me when I sin,
why then am I rushed out the doors?
I quietly stand as to leave, outside in the quiet cold streets have become my new church,
no requirements here, the cement beneath my feet, the dimming street lights my only companion going forth, the unlucky, unheard they understand my hurting heart.
Rushing around,
no solace no reverence needed here, you have of your heart, here I am, sheltered but alone because I no longer belong, in the welcoming church which I once called home, I’ve been replaced..
No longer welcome to kneel at HIS feet, in peace and quiet, The “Elite” sequestered, doors have closed, Sorry GOD, I grasp for your robe to be healed, but your busy…
Out onto the cold parking lot I walk, looking out onto your manicured lawn, your holy lights shining from outside, my “gift “ is gone, I gave it away.
