The crown of thorns A prayer to no avail God sacrificed his son - the most precious thing in life Suffering - with death as a consequence Crucified - silent spectator at the cross tears are soundless When things become wrong - we cannot ignore the action There is a humble rift in the dark Forgiveness _____ - lead us home 03.02.2023 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved Contest No 1180 Sponsored by: Brian Strand 3rd place in the contest Easter Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Regina McIntosh 4rd place in the contest

With the crown of thorns penetrating into his skull and the sharp nails piercing his hands and feet, how much He must have suffered.... all for his thankless children. When I contemplate on the agony of Jesus, I am moved to tears ! A touching poem and image, dear Smile. Stay blessed. Love and hugs!

I saw a crown of thorns plant when we visited a place called Callaway Gardens. It was very much like the picture above on the plant. The pain He suffered for us was horrible, but He paid the price so we could be set free. His love is more than any human could express. Thank you for sharing this one and for dropping by my page. It reads like a winner for Brian's contest to me. Way to go. Sara

Amen, love it, sadly the world mostly still rejects Him, trying to kill off the spirit of Jesus deaths purpose as after Pentacost, but it's all in God's plan, they tried to stop the spirit then for fear of losing self praise but found out if it's of God it can't be stopped, bless you my friend, hugs : )

- We hear daily about war, murder and terror, (nothing new under the sun ... ) ... we forget God's word and going our own ways ... indifference - Many thanks for your comment, Belle :) hugs

He suffered for all sins of mankind. If we do not profit from that suffering we are fools. A lovely spiritual poem, Anne Lise. Hugs xx

He died to save us from damnation yet many ignore the fact they can't say that they weren't warned. Good luck in the contest Anne and enjoy your weekend. Tom
