Prayer
Praying is the endless blessing.
It is counseling at the highest order.
Talking to the Creator
Through Christ the son.
Answers in the word require study
But the truth is rewarding.
First type of prayer is supplication.
Perhaps the most common one.
One where asking for needs of others
And for ourselves is the theme.
I feel I’m always asking for something
Because I am.
Prayers of Thanksgiving
List continues to grow.
Simple things that mean so much,
These keep me in touch.
The most precious gifts
Are from heaven above.
Prayer lets me praise and honor,
God almighty so I won’t waver.
Powerful words, don’t really describe.
His love is supreme,
All else pales.
I confess all things,
Since He already knows.
But it is perfect for me
So that I can see.
Forgiveness He gives me
With each passing day.
For that I am thankful
I don’t know what to say.
Thank you, my God for me today.
