Yes.
The answer is yes.
Put the note in the box,
and your name...
will be reverently be added,
to the long list,
of wishful requests,
needing hopeful answers,
and above all,
true miracles.
"I need a jacket, I have no food."
I will pray for you.
"I need a job, my kid needs meds."
I will pray for you.
No, I tell you,
stop right there.
Do not move an inch.
I have a jacket in the closet,
and food in the kitchen,
next to the very big sink.
We can wash all the vegetables,
from the garden picked this morning,
you can take all that you can carry,
I will give you a sturdy bag.
Sadly I have no job,
but maybe I can spare...
the extra money,
in the tin above the stove.
It will get you a little further,
down the long road...
you are on.
Perhaps it will pay,
or help to pay,
all that your kid,
needs.
Now,
I will pray...
for you.
Amen.
