Pray For Peace But Live For War

Man Prays for Peace but Lives for War

Mankind dreams of peaceful life
Of days of sun, of minute strife
His prayers for peace though seem to me
Just words not felt, not meant to be
If peace man wants than peace he brings
He’ll change, he must abandon things
His need for war, his need to kill
To conquer all, to leave all still
To share the earth not knowing grief
To honor those who lived so brief
Then man will come to know himself
His being part of commonwealth
Than man shall see and man shall know
A man alone shall never grow.
