Pray For Others

We think about ourselves these days
The worries, the times, the pain endured
But remember, friends, there are so many
That can be worse off and troubled more
Let’s pray for them and not ourselves
Or rather, if ourselves, then just for strength
For I would rather do for another
And I would go to any length

So many people suffer hard
They deal with problems, they can’t face
Let’s pray away their concerns and fears
Giving them something they can embrace
Like a hand, a heart, a smile, a friend
Anything at all to make their day
Remember others, today and always
And pray their struggles soon go away
