Pray
Sister,
I cannot take
The pain that I see you face.
The lies that you try to erase.
The excuses that you use
To replace his mistakes.
Dear Sister,
I miss the smile you always wore
And now,
I rarely see that light anymore.
My Dear Sister,
You may think staying
Will make everything okay.
But this vicious cycle
Is slowly taking it's toll
And chipping you away.
My Dearest Sister,
I worry
Not just for you
But for your beautiful child.
Her anxiety grows with each fury.
My Lovely Dearest Sister,
You try to be optimistic,
But I would honestly call it masochistic.
So now I am left
To let God spread His grace
Upon you who needs His strength.
I will not give up.
You may not get off this ride
Today
Tomorrow
Or even in a year,
But I have faith
So all I can do for you now is
Pray
