Notes About The Poem

These verses are inspired by the book, Prashna Upanishad, authored by Guru Bhaktananda.  Prashna means question, that is, questions of earnest seekers on the path. The reflections however do not purport to be a translation and in fact are merely the reactions of this poet, based on his internal spiritual journey. As such, the reader should go through the original text and come to their independent conclusions.

Prashna Upanishad verse 4:10

The Self has no attribute
yet continues to reboot,
pure, vibrant and untainted,
light by which life is painted.

Existing beyond space-time,
at peace with no peaks to climb,
bliss replete, it is complete,
as light that does not deplete.
