Praise for the Plump Dancer

The fat rich man dances,
his body so heavy not light
breaking the rhythm.

Beautiful music set loud,
thumps through the hall -
bass pounds heavy.

Voices rise in praise,
cheering his moves.

As the rich man danced the gathering applauded, although it was not beautiful because of his wealth.

I am wondering if you went to a dance and saw this, was it in a program on TV or in a movie. Great that those there cheered him on. I am delighted you turned it in a poem. Sara K

An interesting image, Akham. You’ve captured it nicely in verse. Well done ~ light your way., Ghairo.

Not easy to dance if you're fat. Great humour.
