Prairie
Prairie
You’re a sea of beige
Gold
Grey in the light
Your beautiful
But almost no one walks on you
Surrounded by highways
But always alone
Preserved by man
Agriculture
Hewn to grow
You provide
Flowers were handed to grace your dreary landscape
Tangled in among the weeds and wheat
Far away from grabbing hands
An award to the few souls who walk on you
Care and tend for you
Beauty to those who look
And don’t just drive by
Really
You’re a sea of colour
