-Practice What You Preach

We teach our children the rights and wrongs
The correct way to behave and be
Manners, morals, fairness
Kindness and honesty

Be respectful to all of life’s creatures
Do not hurt or mistreat
No verbal, emotional, physical abuse
From violence you retreat

Lately, l feel disillusioned
With the behaviour l have seen
Of “supposed” adults
Words and actions obscene

Hurtful words, inappropriate conduct
Disrespect, disregard, ugly displays
I wonder what our children would think
Watching how their “teachers” honestly behave!

Someone asked his 12-year-old son what the most important thing in his father's life was. The son immediately replied, 'The weather.' The interviewer was stunned. So the kid explained: Whenever my father takes me somewhere, as soon as the weather report comes on, everyone in the car has to be pin-drop quiet!' Tra-la...
