Powerful as the Universe

When you wish you'd never met someone
Because they marked your soul for good
The trauma of the memories
Is neither forgotten or pushed on through
Somehow you survive it and you put
The pieces back together
But no matter how hard you try
You soul's scars still bleed the truth
The light shines from within you
And it tries to heal your wounded soul
It shines through the armour
That you've put on around your whole
And even though you're smiling now
You keep your distance well
Never allow anyone close again
Because your heart's not built for hell
The bullet wounds of hurt and pain
Left scars on your skin
But the stars that live inside you
Shine through the wounds so keen
You're more than just this body
You're more than just this soul
And no matter what happens
You're as powerful as the Universe so bold
