Power of Courage

Initial days after marriage
They were the worst days of my life

Everyone shouted and criticised me.
Daily I would cry
I felt I didn't deserve to live.
I was sad, depressed, contemplated suicide

Everyday I would resolve to be courageous
Prepare myself to answer their onslaught
But I was meek,
Scared even to defend myself!
I lived a life of constant fear

This went on for ten full years
One day I felt I am ruining my body in negativity, depression and tears
I am not doing my duty toward my body.
I should be healthy for my son
He is still young
He needs me

That day when they criticized, I answered back in anger
Just because I am a daughter-in-law you can't say anything you feel
What you are saying is wrong

When in full anger I shouted, everyone was stunned. All kept quiet

That act of courage changed my life
From that day they stopped their accusations
They were scared of me

I got back my lost happiness!

So be bold and courageous is my advice to all
When you are bold, sudden strength sprouts from within
Your full power is unleashed

Courage comes from rage
Remember an angry person is powerful than others

If you suffer timidly you will be subjugated daily
But if you act boldly, you will be feared and treated nicely

Many a life is lost in misery, all for lack of courage
Don't loose your happiness in fear, live life courageously here.
