Poverty Way

Poverty's the higher shelf
that no one wants to reach.
The owner being the government
that's kept it there for each.

The dingy view we're frightened of
that has us questioning why.
The reason we all share the way
for taking what comes high.

The very soul we're acting on
to take away our pay.
The only hope we're banking on
foresaking all the way.

The very thought we're something more
for taking home our pay.
The every thought we passed for more
our brother's life would say.
