Poverty

Poverty is like
Being squeezed dry
And then squeezed some more
Then wrung like a barely damp dish towel
And hung on the line to dry slowly

Thank you. It is easy to write about something that you have experienced.

Poverty is certainly like being squeezed dry. I've been there my friend. Homeless, penniless, begging for coin to get a drop of booze.
