Libya! Weep Libya! Thy sly invaders smooch thy defender Thy oppressor masks his crusader Eye wells cried dry, mouths filled with peals of empty laughter When ego puffs personality takes cover When libido strays, devil’s peace reigns all is in asunder Still life goes on Libya! Oh Libya! The great green desert is deserted Milking the blood of children she birthed Ghibli lays still; still the glowering sky is shattered Cyrene’s serenity is stained and her sanity is scalded Though her hymen remains her virginity is desecrated And life goes on Libya! Dear Libya!
