Porcelain Doll
I feel like a doll,
Empty and lifeless
But pretending
I'm happy.
My skin is porcelain,
My lips cold as ice,
I have no heartbeat
Left in my chest.
I'm dead but I
Can still feel,
I'm numb but I
Can still hurt.
I'm not happy
But I try to be,
I can't hurt you
Without hurting me.
So kiss my cold lips and
Lay me down to sleep,
I pray the angels
My soul to keep.
And if I die
Before I wake,
Don't cry my Beloved,
Not for my sake...
