Popularity
It kills me to see,
How much you have changed.
This world is fu**ed up,
And so damn derranged.
Popularty can change you,
Can make you and break you.
I hope you can see what,
You're turning out to be.
You're turning into a monster,
You'll soon hit the tree.
The tree that will make you realize,
It's not what it's cracked up to be.
Popularity is cool for a while,
But is it really worth hitting rockbottom in the sea?
I care about you,
But you're not gonna gain in the end.
You'll end up falling and breaking,
Maybe even losing a friend.
I'll still be here,
even while you treat me like sh**.
But watch yourself boy,
For you are falling into that pit.
That pit of doom,
From where its hard to come back,
To the good of things.
Maybe you just need a good smack.
A smack across the face,
To make you see.
Your ego is too big now,
Give it up and let yourself be free.
Stop being a monster,
Go back up the road.
Go back to the happy side,
Don't say you haven't been told.
I'm telling you now,
Because I see what is becoming of you.
I wish my eyes were lying to me.
I never wanted this to be true.
