Poppy Patch In Stowe Vermont

A patch of poppy red - ascend plumed feet.
The bright and sleepy tome - a fantasy.
Fair abbey’s spark of Stowe, her mirthful beat.
Austria’s grace, forth-cruised amidst the sea.

The cherubim of flowers sweet - my smile.
Awake, a-thrill with music’s score. The hills
Resound in Vermont’s wind. Alive the wile
Of snow-white lace, upon the crowning will

Of God — the protector of faithful fate.
The verve’s exotic blends and citrus scent
Of garden’s bliss - the kiss of love not hate.
A flash of sun - so live these ornaments.

A photo lasts in time and bright of eye.
This brand of brave - a charismatic sigh.

Hi Kim, You've penned a good Sonnet in honor of the family. I will go view the link you mentioned. Well done:-) Alexis

Thanks, Alexis! The musical draws us to the family then we search out the truth aside from the legendary tale!

Thank you, Silent! Indeed I had my family stop when I saw a patch of poppies and had them take a photo of me and my husband.
