Poppy

Their guns are silent now,
Lying in their graves.
They cannot be killed again,
Lying in their graves.
Their blood won't flow red again,
Lying in their graves.
Pain won't visit them again,
Lying in their graves
Let Poppies grow where they fell.
Laying a blanket on their graves.
Let Poppies grow where they fell,
To show they fell to save.

Since writing this I have received over 10,000 poppy seeds from family and friends. After Christmas I am going to sprinkle them on our garden and throughout the village. Then I pray for a great harvest! God Bless. D.
