This will sound pretty stupid, but Popeye (along with Mighty Mouse) was a childhood crush of mine. hahaha

Popeye - with spinach became very spry. He would save Olive Oyl, who became his Mrs. from the clutches of Bluto, his nemesis. Hahahaha...so so funny Ria. I have never watched all these, but when I showed it to Ashwin he immediately said these were the early days of cartoon when they started developing... I wonder how come he knew that!!... My favorite was He-man too... We use spinach in many of our dishes... Best wishes and hugs dear friend... ~ Ani

I love that Popeye and Mighty Mouse were your crushes. I still remember my daughter watching Aladdin (Disney cartoon) and getting googly-eyed and blushing. So sweet. My crush was Donny Osmond and David Cassidy (mainly his music).

I always hated canned spinach but I tasted raw spinach leaves in a good dip and began liking it in salads too as an adult.
