poem is not about anybody in particular

Lonely hearted Carolyn
searched long and hard
but couldn't find a man, good or bad
so she went on a popcorn diet. 

Popcorn Carolyn attracted many men. 
both good and bad, 
She jumped on a testosterone carousel of confusion: 
she dumped and was dumped upon..
flourished then languished in the froth 
of many musky promises.

She got off and on many, many times...
then finally jumped off the carousel of men 
for good.
Becoming lonely hearted Carolyn
once again.
