Poor Little Rich Girl
Jolene was bored out of her mind.
Would she soon in self-pity drown?
“No more!” she cried. “I’ll head for town
and buy a purple sequined gown,
the most expensive I can find!”
Dads’ money, spent in huge amounts,
buys children many a pricy toy.
For Jolene, husband, girl, and boy
much later brought abiding joy—
for in the end, LOVE is what counts.
