Poor Little Girl

Awakened in the night
 Knew something wasn't right
 Held Teddy close and tight
 Then flipped on the light,
 Followed eerie sounds
 Her emotions were in flight
 Pushed in and stepped through
 Saw her mother in between
With a pistol in the mouth
And a whipping stick from the south
 Now, there's no doubt
 What the chatter was about,

So, she stepped on back out
 As a weird feeling loomed,
 She was scared couldn't sleep
And just stared at the moon,

Tears began to flow
 She didn't understand
 Why her mother had 2,
Men in the room.
