Poor In Spirit
She lite the candle and then knelt down on her knees
Life so tough to handle she offered God up her pleas
She called out in such pain but in a soft gentle voice
And there was nothing in vain as she chose to rejoice
He had lost nearly everything and felt all broken apart
Having nothing else to bring but the feelings in his heart
With his head in his hands so many problems he must face
But knowing He understands and receiving His grace
Having never once tried or ever known of His Way
He swallowed all his pride yet he still had his say
Now accepting of his loss like an ointment to a sore
Jesus carried that cross so you need not anymore
No problem is ever too great nor is He ever that far
As the words that you state will reveal who you are
There will always be tests but reach out for His Hand
He will do the rest in helping you to understand
