Pondering Lies

Taking time to ponder
the emotion emanating from you,
makes me stop and wonder
if from your mouth the truth does spew.

The lies from your lips
are the making of the monster drug,
lies have spewed forth
from you, you slimy slug.

Is the emotion real
or another clever ploy
to tug upon my heart,
and to bring you joy.

Alas the time has come
to cast you aside
get on with life
and build back my pride.

Cheri, love the way you wonder "if from your mouth the truth does spew." I hope you showed this clever verse to the "slimy slug." Very good! Carolyn
