Politicians and Term Limits

politicians and term limits

marches by entitled Americans
voices drown out our freedom
lives whose life doesn't matter
ravaging dreams lost forever
citizens looting ignore tears
smiling cheering destruction
black clouds loom over fire

police stand down horrified
ordered from behind a desk
politicians watch in comfort
safe far away from violence
reelection is still years away
firemen see no end in sight
hours fighting for others lives

comforted by their families
thankful to make it home
soft beds cradle their sleep
awoken by the smell of coffee
embraced by quiet to relax
newspaper's thrown in trash
no need to read it, we live it
