Political Correctness

Virtue (stood upon its head) decried the lack of dignity
Logic (twisted, tortured, wronged) confessed suspect validity
Honour closed its eyes denial easier than arguing
As antistrophic chorus rang from madding crowds like caroling
Self-inflicted lynched themselves as vigilantes took their prize
And all the while some people wondered if we humans realize
Pendulums are meant to swing, so we should view this with concern
The further we compel the thing … the stronger, harder it returns

There is a lot of truth in your poem today When that pendulum swings its bound to return ten fold the things you sent it out with, Well done Brian, Thanks for sharing
