Notes About The Poem

Polite Words Nursery Rhyme

We say polite words everyday,
When at home, school and when we play;
They’re like magic bear-hugs on air,
Everyone feels our love and care.

            Say, “good morning, good afternoon,”
            Greetings are day’s blessings and boon;
           “Excuse me” when we leave the room,
           “May I” in the most courteous tone.

           “Thank you” if we received something,
             With our smile is the sweetest thing;
            “You’re welcome” is our warm response,
            “I’m sorry” for wrong things we’ve done.

We say polite words everyday,
When at home, school and when we play;
We are good kids of mom and dad,
We’re dear children of Loving God.

                               We’re good kids saying polite words...
                               We’re the hope of our brighter world.

Hi Len, this is a nursery rhyme not just for recreation, but for instruction. With one single poem, the common words of manners can be imparted to children. I love this. Wish you all the best dear friend

Dear Len, I enjoyed your cute nursery rhyme. I taught children for several years - so children's poems are my favourite. I was inspired by Dr. Seuss's funny poems, and Roald Dahl's stories. It would be wonderful if you create a melody for this poem. Love ~ Mala

I'm so glad to know you've enjoyed my nursery rhyme my dear poet friend Mala. Dr. Seass's poems are also my favorites but I'm still going to find Roald's. Thank you so much for reading my poem and your uplifting words. Hope I can create the melody soon. Have a Blessed Holy Week to you and your family.
