Polar Bears

POLAR BEARS Here! In Arctic circle, Norway, polar bears stay. Habitats are dense forests, Alpine meadows, Tundra region and open plane land. Species mostly spend beside ice-pack, where grammar of melting-freezing on interaction of wind and water-current renders a cozy spectrum between ice and ocean. Largest land carnivores thrive on killing walrus, whales, ringed and bearded seals, also steal eggs of birds. Strong swimmers swim long in search of prey. Off and on take rest on sleep of eight hours at a stretch, fond of in-between nap like humans Black skin glistens, glitters transparent or white, as reflection of sun rays on two coats of fur. Thick layers of bubbler insulate body temperature around moderate thirty-seven Celsius. Solitary adults love to roam as loner. Sagacious species mate when winter enters. Males and non-breeding females in action, not going on hibernation. Pregnant moms choose shelter at ice-edge. Cubs stay with mom for long two years. One or two cubs at a time and have maximum five litters. Fearless polar bears mistaken sometimes as legendary Yeti under stormy uncleared vision. 12/03/17 POLAR BEARS Contest by Julia Ward
