Notes About The Poem

A fictional poem about overspending and gambling, etc.

Poker

(Rhyme)

I invited a lot of my friends to play poker with me
I thought I could beat them at the game you see
I've been spending more cash than what I've made
But now that I am losing my shirt I'm really afraid!

I really like this little gem. It is very symbolic. Any addiction is an illness and very sad. Another good read thank you.

Eh Tim, just losing it all in this poem ....but in my head. Seen plenty in my life by now. I've seen up close and read, watch in shows and movies what painfully folks go thru when they shop too much and also gamble big and lose it all. Many people lost their homes and even the shirts off their backs by gambling in casinos or with other friend or strangers. Oh Tim you're so funny my friend! Lol... Strip poker, ha ha ha..you're so cute! Thanks for stopping by and making me smile with that comment ....lol....Hugs! Love and light! xxxx D.

Yes, Tony, I hear your pain my friend. Personally I never gambled with real money before and it is some that I'll never do in my life because i don't like it and want it. Glad you liked my short rhymed poem. Thank you for your comments about it. Cheers! Love and light! xxxx D.
