Poison

Your love has made me weaker
You point out all my flaws
How was I supposed to know
You had venom in your claws

You poison my very being
Each time you call my name
You cripple me with all your lies
Your love has made me maim

Once a man, now only a shell
Barely able to survive
You even stole my heartbeat
I shouldn't even be alive

You smothered me with promises
You never intended to keep
You blinded me with all the tears
You ever made me weep

You even pierced my very soul
Like a poisoned covered dart
You cut my heart to pieces
The day you broke my heart
