Poison

He gave me a glass. He watched as we took a drink. the smoldering look upon his face. I devoured the sweet red wine, but the numbness begin inside. Then I realized of the taste, It was sour and burned my lips. My throat was starting to close My breath labored My heart strumming hard against my chest. I fell onto the floor as darkness surrounds me before I closed my eyes, I see a dark smirk move across his lips. I was poisoned. The last thought in my mind was.. Why?
