Point of No Return
A knock, a door opens,
a startled look,
and her, silent, smiling
Years had passed,
a memory long forgotten,
buried deep within,
a love unrequited
A hand offered became hello,
hello became a hug,
a hug became a kiss,
a kiss became a point of no return
A longing once lost, filled without reason
A goodbye, without tears,
becomes a memory never to be forgotten
and maybe, that was her reason
