Poets Wound

You see it's been a couple of weeks since i've jotted anything down
this must be the reason my life is twisting all upside down
I have a poets wound and my soul is crying out
There is so much going on in my life right now
and i'm ashamed that I haven't found the time
to do the one thing that I love
  I can't find a healing spring
and no amount of words of comfort
can dry my tears quite like writing a good
  poem can.
     It's my inspiration.
The reason I bother waking up.
         Sometimes I forget that.
               Thus my poets wound
                I may be injured
                but I wouldn't call it
                  writers block
                    It's just that my life
                      hasn't allowed me
time to dabble in my outlet
It's the only way I stay sane
With a world of people so vain
                       I can take every problem
I obtain and turn it into gain
                        when I write.
                         I heal every strife.
When I write my poet's wound
                           receive's it's antidote.
When I write. I receive hope.
