Poets That Painted My Worldview

Trying to remember
a time
when I could hear
"this is just to say"
without the taste
of plum juice
on my tongue.

I simply cannot look
at a rain-coated
wheelbarrow
and not believe
the weight of the world
rests
in its reflective
red, surface.
