Poet's Power
Tempered steel, a new forged metal
A blade to cut the air, so thick
Words as sharp, with mind adjusted
A tongue that cuts then, to the quick
A poets mind, a source of freedom
Then strength, too, found within the pen
Within the words, a strong armed weapon
That’s ready to strike again and again
Hold back not your words, suppressing your freedom
Let them run freely from the pen to the page
Relax with your thoughts, to express them so clearly
So your words can live on in the new dawn of age
