Poets Gesture
We are engaged in thoughts
That ripple and flow
To be able to put them together
And make the lines crow
Then to have a rhythm and tone
Words that take you to the
Intellectual zone
Vocabulary a must
Meaningful and robust
Have it all make sense
Some may be so clever and have a pretense
But what ever you write
Make it ignite
Have touch the deepest place
With the reader
Wiping the tears from their face
Never to erase
The meaning
Put in place
Have a great beginning
And an end that will send
You into the readers mind
Where they may
Transcend
To comprehend
A poet’s gesture
