Poets Do Not Make Mistakes
Poets do not make mistakes
When we throw the pen
It lands in ink, on purpose
Then on paper in lines
we hunt you till we find you
And haunt you with echoes
Poets get it right
when we walk among letters
They obey the tip of the pen
And respond in groups of words
Making sounds in your ear
At times drawing pictures
Poets know it all
we touch your rib
We join tears, open your fears
Shout and shoot you
Sometimes stripping
Ourselves or yourselves
Poets do not lie
If we did, that is the truth
your mind must grow
Between the lines
In search of the naked truth
Hidden far inside.
Poets make no mistakes.
