Poets Creed
If there's rhythm in a poem,
Then it doesn't need to rhyme,
There's messages to show you,
That are deep within the lines...
You may not understand exactly,
What a poets trying to say,
Until applied to what's enacting,
On your life before today...
And since it's your perspective,
That can bring it into view,
Then a poets main directive,
Is to leave the subtle clues...
So its not about intelligence,
If what it means to you,
Somehow compliment's embelishment,
To let the message through...
Next time you read a poem,
Keep an open mind and heart,
Live the words until you know them,
Be the player of the part...
