Poet's Conundrum
Do these fingers hurt from writing anew
Esoteric voice of silence
Keeps on screaming
To cover this mouth shut
But.
Silence speaks louder than sound
Strongly exhort to keep trying
But surely, they'll disagree
Wanting to hear those real conundrums
Flashing like wildfire
Surely they would listen
To the splashing of the water
Unfettered, against the river bank
As if the answer is already there
How else could it be
But drain all those grains of sand
To find the most precious thing
The finest words poets possess.
