Poets

The keyboard is their instrument

A heart aroused warm with desire

Emotions long pent up unvented

Maybe rage set the mouse on fire_

Poetry is their game

Fun played and meters tamed

Creating lines to the click of mouse's beat

A rhythm, oh! so sweet

Delight in every word displayed

Laughter enchants in many ways

Passion and desire light a fire

In the long hours reaches higher

Poetry is their game

Fun played and meters tamed

Creating lines to the click of mouse's beat

A rhythm, oh! so sweet

Newsy items bewtich their mind

Then they entertain some new lines

Clicking of keys, push of a mouse

Laughter and tears bring down the house

Poetry is their game

Fun played and meters tamed

Creating lines to the click of mouse's beat

A rhythm, oh! so sweet

Oooo! poetry

Oooo! poetry

Sara, I resonate with "Emotions long pent up unvented". I am writing about events that took place 30 or 40 years ago that have never been expressed on paper. Or should I say computer screen? Fun played and meters tamed, indeed. Wonderful write. Enjoy your week ~ John

A great rhyme about poets Sara. You have very well expressed all the aspects in creating our muses. And as Jenni said below, we love writing our muses, and we feel great when it is shared and read by others. Hugs ~ Ani

what a wonderful tribute to poetry, dear Sara. My keyboard is only my instrument for 'recording' the poems I write. I LOVE using a pen!!!

We love poetry and we love our interaction with each other. Great to write poetry for one self but even greater to have it read and commented on, the three steps, create , post, have it read, all important A symphony - that is what your write reminds me of. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.
