Poetry Soup Submission

Once I’ve begun, soon I find
I will lose a line
Gotta write it all down 
Before it leaves my head

Making each verse fit for a king
Embracing each word
As a long lost friend
Some I keep
Others are tossed
Eventually, all my I’s are dotted 
And T’s are crossed

My submission is ready to be added online
But my broken IPad screen
Won’t allow me to accomplish 
Much of anything
Typing through the shards of glass
The flashing red cursor awaits my final task
I press ENTER and await any and all responses

The kind expressions bestowed upon me
By those who chose to spend several
Moments of their day to read my work

I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart !
