Poetry Saved My Life

Almost became a victim of the streets of NYC Then. I bought a guppy In a pet store that I passed by Regaining my sense I made it back home Reading poetry can be the most wonderful drug Safer than music or prose So you people out there in the dark Pick up you pens once more You may save someone's life

Matthew, I too think poetry can help save or keep you sane .I'm on soup just reading as I go through this most difficult time in my life. There are a few poets who have helped me with their poems and messages. For which I am truly grateful. Anne
