Poetry Is a Process
POETRY is a process
not an artwork to admire. Words to say,
caught by the day,a one-off,’ as is’ moment,
images in sound.My voice spoken, a unique
sigh ‘twixt you and I.
A mayfly moment of the here and now,ethereal
and passing near, to create an oral impression
in a listener’s ear.My poetry long lies, undisturbed
and dormant on this p age. A dead object ‘til
the cadence of my voice intones, instils,
and the poetry process comes alive.
