Poetry in Arms

For my fellow Poets — Guardians of the word,
carrying kindness and the light of learning
across every friendly poetic front.

“Poetry in Arms”

I hear the calling voices
“Let's use our pens like guns!”
and so I stand among them
in Poetry in Arms.

I was young scribe in silence,
and felt what wounds remain,
from those who write in verses
and others write in plain.

In pages like in trenches,
sharp words in fierce desire,
ink loaded like gunpowder,
“Survive the evil fire.”

Our legendary Poets,
Cover us with your care,
and offer honest counsel,
from any face hater.

If you walking this way,
Don’t lose your heart and mind,
evil will pass away
from poetry unkind.

Hey, evil awful hater!
Carefully listen us:
We’ll prove you — words are matter! —
in Poetry in Arms.

We do it not for a glory,
Nor any applause goal,
But tell you all the story
What still lives in our soul.

And when depression hits you,
Can't hold your pen like sword,
Let all your thinks will go to:
Weapon is hide in word.

Despite life meet last hour —
Our poems never burns
And we will live in our —
Poetry in Arms.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Thank you for your warm welcome and your thoughtful words. I sincerely appreciate your kindness and the beautiful message from John 3:16. Your comment reminded me of another verse that is very close to my heart: "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21) I believe poetry, at its best, can do exactly that. God bless you, and thank you again for your encouragement.
