Poetry Hides

Poetry hides in my room when the sun shines through the blinds
Poetry hides in the dark blue water on the beach washing up the seashells
Poetry hides in the happy faces the children have swinging on the swings
Poetry hides in the shattering glass from last nights fight
Poetry hides up in the clouds that makes hearts, waiting for the heartbreak
Poetry hides in my dad’s green eyes when they look straight into mines
