Poetry Dowser
I just got done reading some poetry.
Some of the hundreds written over
the last few years by a compulsive me.
Some were derivative of other
poets and for that I have no excuse.
Some were so strange and utterly bazaar
that I wonder who wrote them and refuse
to recognize these messages from a place far
away from anything I know. Channeling?
I don't know. But some were so moving
are places familiar, and my eyes were tearing.
I wish I had a built in poetry dowser
that could tell which poem is a wowser.
