Poetry as Vital Force

Poetry as Vital Force

Poetry is not just words gushing through empty pages bare,
it's a force that embraces life with arms of luminous light,
a fire that burns in the chest of those frozen by loneliness,
a flame that melts the ice from souls that perish slowly still.

Poetry is a rope thrown into the abyss of the lost wandering,
it's the hand extended to those who fall through bottomless darkness,
a thread of gold woven from hope and from forgotten songs ancient,
that binds the earth to heaven and the soul to its deep source.

It is as necessary as bread in the pockets of the starving hungry,
as sacred as water for those who die of thirst in the desert,
poetry nourishes what the body can never touch or reach,
it satiates the emptiness in us with dreams and echoes of certain truth.

They are not just letters dancing on paper white as snow fallen,
but bridges built over the chasms between wandering souls lost,
it is the breath we draw when everything seems forever lost,
it's the heartbeat of the universe in our weary chests exhausted.

Poetry is the medicine for wounds that don't bleed outwardly visible,
it's the balm poured over invisible scars from the depths within,
it heals what doctors cannot see with their mortal eyes,
it cures what breaks in silence among the crying and the tears.

It is the fire for the cosmic cold that grips our bones frozen,
it's the mantle of stars that wraps us when the night is too long,
poetry is the force that keeps us alive when everything falls apart,
it's the whisper that tells us there's still meaning in this crafted world.

And when everything seems dead and barren like a desert without water,
poetry is the oasis where souls come to drink from living words,
it is the proof that beauty can exist even within pain suffered,
that life is worth living as long as there are still poems heard.
