Poetry Absorbs the Pain

Poetry absorbs the pain
Writing something down
Helps you maintain your sanity
The reflection of a situation will give us the victory
The heart breaks through the misery
While words are cemented in history

Shadows of comfort will sprinkle your face
Blades of power will hold your mouth
Words of silence can’t escape
The thunderous ploy of your heart
Poetry will absorb the pain

Pain paints poetry
You will feed off every abnormality and
Reveal the centrality of all hidden thoughts!
Then after a while, you will smile again
Knowing that your heart bled because
It was a comfort worth exploring
It was an oddity worth refining and above all
It was a love worth mentioning

Poetry absorbs the pain
Hearts that bleed are hearts that feed off the weight of a situation
The sudden shift of emotion clarifies the darkness
The oneness of passion electrifies the soul and
Writing it down helps poetry absorb the pain

I have a poem too in the past about how we paint pain through poetry, and how it can be cathartic. Absolutely love this write and your title is spot on! So well written and expressed here. I think many can resonate with this poem
